Life would be great if my dh had some common since...
For two days I kept telling him I needed a head of cabbage,
for the home made veggie soup I was going to make.
so yesterday (after church, I was home sick) he goes to the
store and brought home lettuce, he said that is what I wrote
on the list, I have no clue if I did or not, he thru the list
away, but com'on common since tells you I want cabbage,
I can't put lettuce in home made veggie soup :(
He said he even taught to himself, why does she want
lettuce for vegtable soup... dah
Then today, brother ain't life sweet haha, I make out my
list as such, Velveta Maccaroni & Cheese, (he has seen the
box a million times) and I need bread crumbs I think they
are called Pepperidge Farms in the Blue Bag, ...
Okay he comes home with NO maccaroni and cheese because
I didn't say Velveta shells maccaroni and cheese, then he
comes home with plain Prego Bread Crumbs in a round
card-board container, Not in a bag, just because I didn't
write STUFFING, even tho I did tell him it was so I could
make my home made stuffing... rofl...
NO COMMON SINCE!!!. Very book smart tho...I could
understand it, if it was something I have never used,
but we have been married 36 years today, and he KNOWS
what i buy...
So I just got back from returning the bread crumbs, with the
items that I needed... Hacking my head off!!!

For A Good Laugh or Not!
Sorry Connie..........I did have to laugh at that one........but he did as you told him..!!:^)))
LOL............Too bad you don't live closer Connie. I could have given you all the cabbage you want. I planted 100 heads this summer and put a lot away in the freezer and still have whole heads put in storage that are good. We've been eating cabbage every single day. Ha!
My husband is the same way. I have to s-p-e-l-l everything out exactly or he brings home the wrong thing. Sometimes I think he acts dumb or makes mistakes so I don't ask him again and just go myself. It's a male trick you know. Ha!! We've been married 34 years so I put up with it. Ha!!
Hope you feel better Connie. If it's any consolation to you, my husband is the same too. Must be a man thing. LOL
Cindy
I think Connie's still out shopping............in the return isle
No just waiting for a few more replies rofl.
When you consider, a round card board container, to me spelling out I thinks its by pepperidge farms (which it was) in a Blue Bag not a card board round container. and he KNOWS what I use.. come on, I discribed what I wanted, the guy at the store showed him the bag and the container... It doesn't take much to figure that one out... So I didn't write stuffing crumbs down... I told him what it was for...
It would have only taken common since to figure it out, same with the velveta macaroni and cheese. He knows what I buy.. geesh
I know we talked about this connie, just wanted to post >>>>>MEN
Men just do that so you don't send them anymore.........They really are saying you know what YOU want YOU go get it..!!
My DH is the same.....Send him to the store with a LIST. He's gone 10 mins. and the phone rings...it's DH. "What did you want at the store? I forgot." Me "Thats why I wrote you a list" DH " I forgot it on the table." Ok this has happened more times than I can say so I started sending my son to the store instead. Ten mins. after he leaves the phone rings.."What did you want at the store?" Yup....the apples don't fall far from the tree!!!!!
Rofl, It diffinately has to be a man thing..
DH no longer has his cell phone, I told him after he came home, thats one of the things that phone came in handy for :o)
Connie
DH refuses to grocery shop...I refuse to deal with cars - we've worked it out...
good one sarv :o)
