Ziplock seed bags

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Hi everyone!

I wanted to purchase some of the little ziplock seed bags but had to order far more than I will ever use. So I have quite a few units to sell to anyone interested here in this forum. Ya'll are my butterfly friends, so you get first dibs!

I'm not selling them to make any kind of profit, but just to recoup some of the money I had to spend to get what I wanted. I had to order 3,000 baggies as a minimum order. I only want to keep 250 of each type of baggie. (For a total of 750!) I spent almost $34.00 for this order (which included shpg. charges.) I am willing to sell them in groups of 50-100 each. And I want to give as many of my friends here the opportunity to get some, so I will limit the number to 100 of any one bag style, so you can purchase up to 300 total. (100 of each bag style)

Here's what I have:

2" X 3" Clear - $ .50 per 50 or $1.00 per 100
2" X 3" White Block/Clear - $ .64 per 50 or $1.28 per 100
2" X 2" Green - $ .53 for 50 or $1.06 per 100

These are all small zip-lock bags perfect for seeds.

I forget who sent me some seeds in ziplock bags who put a little piece of paper inside telling me what the seeds were instead of marking on the bag. I thought that was a great idea so that I could re-use the bag! So the white block/clear bags can be used for marking on, but I don't think I will do that on any I use. I like the paper in the bag idea better!

I also do not know how much it would cost to mail them out to you? They don't weigh much at all. Though 300 might be a couple dollars to mail. I can check with the post office to be sure. I'd prefer to receive payment from you first before I mail them to you. And I want to put an expiration on this offer only because I don't want to be dealing with dmail a month after I've posted this offer to ya'll.

The most you could get from me would be 300 (100 of each type of bag) for $3.34 plus mailing cost. Hey, ya can't beat that!
Edited post: Well you could beat that, but it would have to involve a much bigger order! I ordered these baggies from Fetpak. The price differences per bag are what the company charged me for them, plus the $6.00 shpg fee.

I hope I'm not breaking some DG rule by posting this offer. It is sort of like a co-op purchase.

Please post here on this thread if you want some bags and tell me what kind and whether you want 50 or 100 quantities.

The expiration for this offer will be December 1st. Does that sound fair enough? And I'm only dealing with screen names I recognize from this forum or if you have traded seeds or plants with me. I only have 2,250 bags and I know that they might go pretty quick. If not, then I will open it up on the co-op forum. I hope this cheap price helps some of ya out, as I hated spending so much on these little ziplock bags.

Here's a photo of what they look like.

Melanie - I'll let you know tomorrow evening after I check with the post office!

I was just thinking how I bought 300 bags! Wow, that should last a lifetime. Hopefully it will motivate me to get more seeds and give them away :/

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

fly_girl - LOL! That's why I kept 750 of them! I figure that I can do some serious trading in the future when I learn how to harvest seeds from my many plants! It's a motivator for me and maybe a plus for anyone trading with me in the future! :-D

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky, you have Dmail.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

lol fly...well...these little bags MUST be better then the sandwich bags that I currently use. I've got ziploc baggies in my drawers that are full of seeds, lol....These little ones will take up much less space. :)

250 left of the White Block bags
350 left of the cute little 2" X 2" Green Bag

They are going fast, so if anyone else is comtemplating some, get in here quick before the opportunity is gone.

I've already sent some of the requests out to those wanting some of these small ziplock seed bags.

I have just 750 left (listed by bag style and quantity left of each in the post above this one). If you plan to do seed trading and need some small ziplock bags, this is a good way to get as few as 50 and as many as 300 for pretty reasonable. Believe me, you don't want to have to buy from a distributor for a minimum order of $25 like I had to.

I'm ending this offer on Dec. 1st. D-mail me if you are interested.

I am down to 650 left:

50 left of the Clear bags
250 left of the White Block bags
350 left of the cute little 2" X 2" Green Bag

LMK if you wish to get some from me ASAP!

Becky, I'll take 100 of the green bags and 100 of the white block bags. I'll get the check out to you right away if you d-mail me your addy.

I would love to be bale to get some of these bags. I am not pickey... any will work. I was just trying to figure out how to package some poppy seeds I am sending out in a trade. These would be perfect. I don't think I have done a trade with you but I have seen you while browsing DG. would you consider letting me buy some?

Tammie

gram and Tammie you both have dmail.

After considering what grampapa wants and what Tammie wants, I am down to 200 bags left:

50 - White Block bags
150 - Green bags

If you were debating whether to get any or not, you might want to jump in here before they are gone. D-mail me or post here if you want some of what is left.

They are all gone!

Thanks to everyone who took some of these little ziplock bags off my hands and helped me recoup some of the money that I had to spend to get just the few that I wanted. I'm glad I could share with all of you!

Now that you all have seed bags, I anticipate seeing some seed trading going on! Perhaps I'll get a chance to swap seeds with some of you in the future! lol

Thanks!

Becky, I got my 300 bags and I trust you so I'm not going to count them lol. They're the perfect size! I'm going to start putting all my old seeds in there and get rid of my huge sandwich bags.

Thanks again Becky!!!

Becky just seen this. Next time you or anybody need bags you can purchase them over on The LA auction. Usually under hybridizing tools. EarthStar sells them. If none are liste d at the time just email for a listing. Earth Star usually sells in groups of a hundred.

Also, if you go to the craft department at Walmart they sell the bags too. a hundre d in a pack for a think it 1.98.

Thanks Starlight! I'll remember that next time I need bags! :-)
