Hi Frank, where in California did you get it? C-Stars nursery is the major wholesale plumeria nursery and distributor to nursery chains and Home Depots in Southern California and possibly Northern California, and it looks like one of theirs called "Cancun Dreams," but it is always difficult to identify a cultivar from a picture only, and often other things should be taken into consideration, such as growth rate. "Cancun Dreams" is a fast and tall grower. Here's mine:

It has a soft spicy fragrance. This is what the flowers look like after the color has faded.

Here is one more shot of mine. If you bought it at a local nursery or chain here in Southern California, it is probably one of C-Stars.

Hi Frank

Welcome to the forum and the addiction. I bet by next year you will have many more plummies. I see that in my magic ball.

Does C-Stars nursery have a web site?

Hi Jeri! They used to, but I don't see it anymore. The are wholesale only for the most part, which means that they only sell to the nuseries for re-sale. I got to tour it in the summer of 2005. It was amazing to see warehouse after warehouse of plumeria blooms. Here's a pic:

I would like to thank everyone for the input/feedback. After several hours of rummaging through my messy garage, I found the original stake from the store where i purchased my plumeria. The cultivar for this plumeria is called pink candy stripe. I bought this plumeria from Longs Drugs. Unfortunately, I don't think this one has a fragrance.

Frank, I'm pretty sure that your cultivar is 'Cancun Dreams.' It matches in petal shape and color. It sounds like the store might have stuck that name on it as it doesn't look anything like the cultivar 'Candy Stripe.' I'm pretty good at recognizing cultivars as I have been studying them for years.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Clare.
