I have 9 lavender plants in 3" pots that I have not had a chance to transplant into the garden.. munstead and hidcote variety. Is it too late, Have I lost them? Only 1 is still partly green, the others have gone gray...they look dormant. Can I still transplant them?
I appreciate the help.

I wouldn't transplant them now, too cold. They can overwinter in pots. Put them in a southern window, let dry out between watering. Some varieties are greyer than others. Are they pot-bound? The lavender I've bought in pots have all been pot-bound, you might want to transplant into slightly bigger pots. Use a well-draining mix like a cactus & succulent mix, since lavender likes to be dry.
I transplanted them into larger pots shortly after my original post and they have been outside on my porch where they get the morning sun..So you think it's better to bring them inside? I was thinking of making them a little green house with chicken wire and clear plastic. Leaving the top open so they don't get too wet or moist..
