No need to be sorry for anything. You tried... and that's more than I could have hopped for.

My cousin gave me starters from both her white and pink bleeding heart plants, They have already died back, Will they come back in the spring and also, how do you collect seeds from these? I didn't know they produced seed... I checked the seed site, but they are not listed there...

Connie, when the blooms dry up, you have to watch them real close because they will fall off the plant and then they are just kind of gone lol But when the blooms dry up, feel the bloom, there are a few seeds in there. Mine are black and it seems to have a little white dot on them, don't know if they are all like this.

Yorkshire,

Hi Donna!
Are you still looking for seeds from the Dicentra Spectabilis? I have some that I'd be happy to send you. Is your name and address in the exchange forum? If not send it to me via dmail and I'll get them in the post to you.

Connie, over here these are some of the very first plants to begin growing in very early Spring. Often ours has plenty of growth by mid February. The white (alba) form is a little slower and not so vigorous in our garden. The seed=pods hang down like very tiny runner beans. I only began collecting seeds from ours last year after growing the plants for years...like you, I didn't even know they made seeds, LOL

Thanks Lebug and Terri :o)

I will have to let my cousin know too. So she can start collect the seeds next year.
I tell you she can get anything to grow :o) Her yard is beautiful...

Well got to get my stuffing mixed and in the oven, got my ham on and the turkey is already done. Smells sooo good :o)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving to all. (even if you don't celebrate it today)
