I could use some creative help here. Every year at Thanksgiving we have candied sweet potatoes, always saving a few back to boil and eat plain. Every year nobody takes a very big helping of candied sweet potatoes, whether the carmelized or marshmallow type. Actually, we all prefer mashed or baked!
This year I decided to quit doing candied sweet potatoes. We obviously don't like them anyway. However, to make mashed sweet potatoes and put butter on them seems a little odd because we will have regular mashed potatoes. I can't bake them because I only have one oven, and we all know what THAT is devoted to! I never make anyone bring anything because they come from so far away.
Are there any ideas or recipes out there other than baked or mashed or sweetened? Any experience would be appreciated.
Way to make "uncandied" sweet potatoes?
