haveing pop up from micrsoft saying xp is a fraud

i have another computer i bought 4 years ago,hp pavilion 524 desk top
never had no problem about the xp window,bought me a new computer about 8 months ago.
decided to hook the old one up and get some of my old stuff of it,first thing pop up was microsoft window saying my xp windows home edition wasn,t authentic.far me to fix it now and where to buy it at. why has this happen ,and what can i do
