I have to have this flower

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I saw this flower in a picture today and I have to have seeds for it. See my little hand out and my pleading little eyes asking for this one?

Celosia argentea cristata Bombay Pink

makshi park seed has 20 seeds for $ 2.57

In case no one else has them...

cegoins you are a bad bad girl. I am going to have to have several diff. celosias this summer and it is all your fault.

roflmbo,

the problem with parkseed is their shipping charges are expensive when you order online 6.95 or more..if you call in the order it is 2.95 which is still expensive for one pack of seed.

Thank you pamsue for the info. That is a lot.

The problem is, that's a hybrid. So even if someone here happens to have that plant and saved seeds, you wouldn't get this flower from those seeds. Unless there's other things you need from Park to make the shipping charges worthwhile, you might want to try Ebay.

Makshi -- Did you see the picture at the Park site? It isn't that pretty at all, IMHO. Not very colorful. Those crested celosias already have a problem because, well, imagine a pizza slice, point down, on a stem. There is only color on these on the crust, not the cheese. LOL. Parks shows a closeup of the crust only (the pink), but it isn't very colorful and we already know the cheese part is going to be basically brownish. Go there and see if you still want it. I am ashamed because I gave Patti a hard time in the annuals forum about the Nasties she bought without mem and then I place an order from Parks -- yes, with the !@#$ $6.95 shipping charge! -- without offering to add a pack for other people. Should have started a thread for people who only wanted to buy a pack or two.

hey it would have been a great idea about getting together and ordering from parks....like i said if you phoned it in it would cost 2.95 shipping and over 20 dollars 4.95 shipping just for seeds...the website is all wrong on shipping..i got really mad at them for the website error and they didnt seem to care

Okay, I need to buy some heat mats for Christmas, anyway. Let me start another thread on it...where? Cottage Garden Forum or Annuals or Perennials? How about the Cottage Garden forum? That way, it will cover all things. WATCH THE DEADLINE. The 35% off sale is only good through Nov 21.
