I am very new to gardening... Could you if you dont mind please telling me what a Pregnant Onions is and a picture of one... Is it a plant or is it the type of onion you put in the ground and wait to grow then eat?? Stupid I know but you never learn unless you ask...

Here's a picture of my pregnant onion- Onithogalum caudatum. The other freeloaders are stray mother-of-thousands plantlets I let take root, and now they're taking over the pot!
As far as I know, you can't eat these. In my zone (5a) you can't keep them outside in the winter.
