Look at the length of this bloom

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

this is Creamsickle x Rosamond by Kristi Larsen. Can't say that it is very pretty but is has been open for 7 days now and is almost as long as my arm. It was all white until Monday when it began to get a hint of orange.

Gosh, what an itty bitty calyx. Will be so interesting it see it next summer. Very diifferent.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Wow Donna that sure is long. It would make quite a conversation piece in the garden.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

hope the flower is prettier next year or it will be toast lol. Have another flower pods that will open in a few days if it doesn't get blown off tomorrow in the storms we are expecting. Moved Tatiana, Adeline, & Day Dreams that are in pots inside since they all have flower pods.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I wonder what the seed pod would look like on this one, Donna. It could be foot or even longer. A real long, real skinny thing. That would be cool.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sure is long and thin. Maybe you could call it Twiggy for short.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL Twiggy for sure!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

"Twiggy" cute, brugie!!!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I rather like it, looks like a model LOL

Nowra, NSW,, Australia(Zone 9b)

I like it too - love those very extended doubles: wonder what the plant will look like with a flush of them??

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Cooooooooooooooool!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Holy Moly! At first, I thought it was Kin playin with Photo shop pictures! LOL

So Donna you better think twice about toasting it LOL some of us like the "odd' but nice.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I believeit is improper to ask for cuttings from a grower.. so if you don't want me to break the rules please have mercy on this brug! LOL

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

it has another year to grow before deciding so don't worry

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

It is very different, I like it.

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

I like it too!!! Mainly because I think outside the box. If you toss it for what ever reason I want a piece of it. Did someone say it was improper to ask? It does look like a model figure! LOL!

So was this one left outside? Is it drowning? Poor Donna's yard got flooded. It is so under water. Please say a prayer for all her new plantings.

Donna, you better save this one for so many pople love it!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

no thank goodness. It is around back in the needling nursery. None of my brug are in water but got close to one of them

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I like her Donna, the little double is perfect and, wow, 7 days is good, even in cooler weather. For the first time, I had LOTZ of deformed buds this year and several 'odd' blossoms, on two year, and older brugs that bloomed normally previously - is it possible that her blossom suffered from the heat/drought & ended up like that?? That teeny, tiny calyx is something, it looks extra small, I hope you get more blooms!!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I think it's pretty.. very elegant. Did you measure? I'm trying to imagine; an arm being as long as an arm from wrist to shoulder... that would be l o n g! Or is it elbow to end of fingers? Very lovely. And 7 days, unthinkable!

Good Lordy Donna.... That sure is a lengthy bloom.
I can't even imagine trying to pollinate that one....LOL
This one will be fun to follow up on next year.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I measured it today. It is 18" long and the 11th day for the same bloom and only bloom so far

Well I'll be... It's measuring up for endurance also!

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

May I just say "I can't wait for an 18" bloom". Ok, so I said it, just not sure if I will ever get one. Congratulations.

I like it too, Donna! Very unique!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

believe it or not the flower is still on. Very, very ugly but still on there lol

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 8b)

I think it is very cool looking, Donna.
