Hi Alistair. I do not know for sure, but it is listed in a family tree base as Brugmansia 'Michael Perry' and one of Susie's hybrids.

From what I understand, the story behind the brug is it's named after Shirley's son, whom she lost in 2001. She has spelled it 'Micheal Perry', so I would assume that is correct. I don't know how to contact her to ask for sure, though. The last email for her I had for her is no longer valid.
