Welcome! I'm new this year to and couldn't resist replying when I saw you are in the SAME ZONE (?) as myself way down here! WOW! I asked DH since he lived in Portland for a time and he said it's true, depending on what side of the mtn you are on! Incredible!

Edited to say...wish I could have some of your rain though, we only get 30" a year here in my area...but moving to Houston soon and they get double that. My garden and I look forward to it!

The rain is incredible, very mediterranean up here, we're told?! It is wonderful to be able to plant so much!!

Moved out here from MT a few years ago, which was something ridiculous like a Zone 3 (eek!) so I am loving it.
