New hibiscus, to me.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

We have about a dozen Hibiscus blooming at this time, as well as many Confederate Roses.
I am sending two pictures of our newest, the name of which I will research later. One in full shade, the other with fill flash, which is how it looks in full sun.

What an amazing difference! Most change their flower color this time of year as the weather cools but yours is truly a WOW.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

I hope it follows the same trend next year. We have a rumrunner that does all the colors in one day.

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

If I were to guess, I'd say Golden Halo- I have one and it looks very much the same, including wild variations based on temperatures. I'm sure Carlos or Kyle can tell you for sure, tho.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

I hope so.

Thanks

How great to have a plant that has two different flowers depending on what season it is. That is awesome.

We didn't know when we bought it. Sometimes we get lucky.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

going by the pic of the summer color I would say Sunshowers. It changes color a lot and coller temps make most of the yellow go away till the heat comes back.Heres mine in summer.

That sure does look like it. Thanks, trois

Mol, Belgium(Zone 8a)

Yes, it's Sun Shower (two words, no plural). Summer and Winter colors are totally different. Here in Belgium it's just a plain red with cooler temps (November - April) losing not most but all yellow and white colors.

Trois ,
Your hibiscus are beautiful . Where did you find them? Do you leave them outside all year long?
Thanks, Patti

Most come from Palm nursery. We have them in the dirt. Mulch heavy if freezing weather forcast.
Thanks for your interest.
This is how the same bloom looks today. It has about a dozen buds at this time.
We have had several for many years.

I have Sun Shower but I can't recall one from this last summer that looks like the summer colors. It is really lovely with both colorings. I will have to really pay attention next year.

We are hoping for a repeat.

The sunshowers is also attractive to butterflies. I had a bunch of them today, on this new bloom. This Sulphur seems to enjoy the bloom.
