Hello folks, I was invited to join a blogroll called "Green thumb Sunday" for my latest post I have conducted a mini survey amongst the general gardening community to see what the awareness is about Hoyas. I think most of my friends would answer,
1) Never heard of hoyas before you started rabbiting on about them
2)I don't own a hoya and probably would kill it if I did
3)Visit more plant websites? Are you crazy?
Thanks for linking us, I appreciate that. I like visitors. I like comments too but you can't always get what you want. I particularly like the fact that I can see how far away my visitors are from me - for example Roy you're 10,363 miles away from me!!!

Like hills, my friends would say, rolling their eyes, "never cared until you kept yakking about them ... still don't." Luckily for me a few of my friends have said, "oh, you have an extra rooting, I'd like to try growing one," so now I have converted 3 people and not one has killed a hoya (and don't think for one moment I don't check!). The answer to number three from my friends would be ... "there are hoya websites? Get a life!"

I also notice most didn't know about hoyas, which doesn't surprise me at all. Most of the folks I know, have heard of hoyas, but only think there is one or two kinds on the market (which is usually the case in local nurserys). People who actually SEE some of my collection, usually want to know more. (Of course...they could just be curious about my mental stability...ha ha. )

I have the best bunch of friends but until I became a MG I had no one to talk to about plants. None of my friends were interested in any kind of plant. If any of them have a problem with a plant, I get it so I guess it has it's perks.

I love the hoyas I have. The picture of the H. curtisii is pretty. I have not seen that one yet and very much like the folliage pattern.
