I'm glad I didn't order these last week! Park's has a site-wide 35% off sale through Nov. 21. Those sturdy green perma-nest trays that some of us use and really love for our plants (you can put lighting grid on top of them for wick watering or capillary mats in them for bottom watering, or just set pots right into the trays... they are nice & sturdy) are now an even better deal! I bought a dozen last year at something like $5 each plus shipping, and I thought that was a good deal (Park;s has discounts for buying larger quantities, so 10 were cheaper per each than 2).
NOW, the big trays (about the size of a standard 1020 nursery tray) are $4.21 each (plus shipping) if you buy 2, and just $3.24 each if you buy 10 or more.
With the much flimsier black plastic trays costing over a dollar locally, I think it will be well worth upgrading the rest of my flats to these trays. I'll use the flimsy ones outside, where a little hole or crack in the corner is actually a good thing so the trays will eventually drain after a rainstorm.

Yes, even their regular price break for buying 10 or more ends up being a good deal, and you just can't beat this price. Snow and I are combining our orders to save a couple extra bucks on shipping... I figure that'll also give us a good excuse to get together again soon!

thanks! I was about to purchase cheap black flats but wanted these and now I have no excuse not to purchase.
I wonder if their seedling heat mats are included in the sale.... LOL, can't hurt to look! They had the best prices I could find on these last year also, even without a sale.

Just took a look, and the heat mats are on sale, too.
Just a note so nobody else gets surprised... shipping charges are based on the regular price of the item (which makes sense, I just didn't think of it and thought their computer had glitched during checkout). It should still come out to around $4 a tray if you order a few...
I got two heat mats from them last year, with a controller, and I love them!

Give them a call... it generally takes them a couple of days to get an order shipped out, and they've been really cooperative in the past about adding something to my order, even when it's just a pack of seeds.
Woo-hoo! I emailed Parks and caught my order before it got shipped so I was able to add the heat mat to the order. Now maybe I can get my pepper seeds to sprout indoor this Feb.

I've gotten everything but the trays. Tracking on Park website still shows them to be shipped so maybe soon.
I've been doing biz w/ them fpr 18 yrs or so retail and wholesale,they've never failed me. I went back and ordered another $30+ worth of seeds.

I called again recently and discovered that my trays had not been shipped out after all... I think that's the first wrong information I've ever had from their usually very good customer service. Turned out the trays were on backorder. I got an email that my trays were on their way, so hopefully we'll see them soon! P, you're right -- Parks has been very reliable any time I've dealt with them, and they've always made any problems "right."
