CLOSED: Black Currant Swirl Twins need new Southern Home.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Have 2 Black Currant Swirl Datura plants that will be uprooted and thrown into the compost heap unless someone wants them. Repotted in a nice warm climate they will take off and give you tons of beautiful tendrilled flowers. Need to go within 5 days before killing frost hits.

Would like colorful annuals or perennials that can take full sun.

Will consider just for postage.

Have you tried to overwinter them indoors ? That's what I'm going to do with mine, and i'm in zone 6B.

X,
Will they make it inside, or do they need to be outside? I could either bring them in or overwinter them in my basement or garage or on the porch...I would love to have them...

I'm in Z8b and would love to have them if possible. I leave mine in the ground and will be cutting my only one this week. I will have several cuttings but I do not know the name of it.

Kamikid, the picture is beautiful. The Daturas are not the same plant, yours is a Brugmansia...you may already know that...but I am not sure if they have the same zone requirements or not.

I treat dats as annuals. Yesterday I extricated the big mothers from the containers out front and threw them in the compost pile. I was about to do the same to these but thought someone in zone 9 might want them. Janet, it's really not worth it to try and over winter them. Better off just growing new ones from seeds.

Kami Janet is right .. that's a brugmansia .. I leave mine in the ground as well. They die back in winter and come up next spring.

These are kind of special because of the long tendrils.

I need some annuals or perennials that can take full sun to plant in my bed out front.

If you don't get a better offer, X, I'll be glad to pay postage for them.
(I can PayPal or whatever you'd prefer)

I still have to either repot or plant my own Datura (I think Double Purple Queen)!

Thanks X I have plenty of your beautiful seed to sow!
