Veronica's Seedling AH x RM or SG

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I wonder which one it was lol! Nice pink comming thru. We had alot of wind for the last few days and the leaves are shot! I went out to see this morning and the whole plant had blown over EEK! I was so happy the flower was still there but one tenderal was broken.
THank you!

I am still amazed when I see Brugs still growing and blooming outside. I've already had snow and a few weeks of night temps in the 20's-30's.
It's a very pretty flower Caren even with the broken tendril. With less daylight hours this time of year pinks tend to be lighter in color. Next summer it could be quite a bit darker.

Its cool this morning but still in the 80's durning the day. This is my first colored seedling. All the others have been white. Here is another pic.

Nice going Caren. I wonder if it will be darker when the days are longer. Wind sure can mess up the flowers. We had lots of wind this year, no rain, too much heat and humidity, and now it is just cold and windy. No fun with brugs this year in Iowa.

Too hard to really get much of an idea of a seedling this late but that one looks so cute. I love the low calyx, always a favorite look of mine. And your tendrils are so nice and long. Too bad your weather is getting bad, ours is too here. I guess it is inevitable.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

The shape itself looks alot like RM but its a smaller flower. I'll keep it regardless if it is special or not. It is the first to give me a color. What a thrill!!
It really wants to be a tree. I think I might put it in the ground to see what it will do. I have so many seedlings ready to bloom... If the weather just holds out a little longer I will get to see them.

What a darling baby! LOL Really, that is such a pretty pic. I bet it's exciting to get color.. I'm a sucker for tendrils too... so cute!
So far, my seedlings were all white, I can't believe I've gotten picky so fast. Shoot, last year I would have chewed my arm off for any brug, white or not!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Joyce, it happens fast as you see so many brugs. All are beautiful just some have our names on them. My husband thinks they all look alike, and I can see the differences a mile away.

I hope your weather holds Caren. It can be so frustrating. But at least I know with a late bloom on a new seedling that I will get early bloom from them too in spring so it is not all lost.

I hope you get lots of hot ones.

I'm a tendrils and fragrance nut... LOL

My seedling BeeBee is FINALLY gonna do something.. Caren, I thought about your bloom today when I'm staring at BeeBee's Bud wondering if there is gonna be color.. I smiled at myself when I thought of printing your pink pic to show her what I expect.. LOL I've got it bad.. ya think?? :)

Maybe an expert can answer the question about parentage. Is Solid Gold capable of producing pink offspring? Caren, thanks for posting the photos. I didn't keep any of the seed from that cross. So I'm glad to see something from it. AH has a low calyx. I'm happy to see that trait passed on to its offspring.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

What is AH? I've tried to think of something and will probably feel silly when I find out..but I'm just not coming up with anything right now.

Is it Audrey Hepburn? That one just came to me.

That side shot is really nice...she looks elegant.

ZZ, I hope BeeBee turns out to be nice too. She's a real trooper, lol.

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

Yes Brugie, Audrey Hepburn.

Yeah that rain and wind came on up to Ga. today. Really bad. Sounds like a hurricane with the wind howling. I didn't have any brugs to lose. I already had to cut back.

Nice picture btw.
