Oh Gee what a lovely surprise seeing this here. Thankyou everyone!
I did get spoiled as we went to Vancouver for the weekend and just got back last night. Had a great time shopping, dining out and seeing some nice friends. The winds from Hawaii " pineapple express" almost made the ferry ride impossible but luck had it they ran inspite of it. Didn't get washed away:)
I did get a plant too what would a birthday be without a new plant:) Hubby ordered in one of the new specie impatiens plants. It doesn't have a name yet but when it flowers I will send in a photo for you all to enjoy.
Sandy.... the hoyas are doing great, they all rooted and maybe just about to send out some new growth. How about yours? I have a very pretty one all set up in that wonderful hanger you sent me. It looks so lovely thankyou again.
Thanks again your all so sweet
Bea
Welcome to Another islander. Do you guys visit back and forth? Mini RUs or anything? I've been too busy lately to read too much DG. Hope you all survived the recent storms - no trees down - things like that.
Mommum, you share the same birthday as my 2 year old grandson, also in Victoria.
Inanda
Inanda......... Thanks for the welcome nice to meet you too! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting with the Islanders in person but I see there are a few of us out here. The storms have really been something. Lots of folks without power but we were lucky that way. We did have some large tree branches come down into our yard from the neighbors trees. Scared me to death as I was looking outside at the time they flew past my kitchen window. Worse yet, my daughter was building a snowman just minutes before it landed there. You have never seen anyone run outside so fast as I did to account for the children. Fortunately they had moved onto the driveway to play so all was ok.
That is really neat you have a grandson here. Awwe to be so young again, well maybe not that young, 22 sounds good tho:)
