which pond plants need

to be protected and how? I have the tropical water lilies, King Tut Papyrus in the Greenhouse.
Now the questions, canna, cat tails (mini) hardy water lilies, iris japanese

Do I remove them put them deeper in the water.

The pond is prefab 160 gallons with falls. about 20" deep

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the water does not freeze solid these should be okay at the bottom of the pond. I dare ya to succeed in killing cattails! Don't think it can be done......... LOL

thank you for replying. You mean even those teeny tiny cattails are as hardy as the big wild ones.

Do you have typha minima? It's supposed to be hardy to zone 3, but I did manage to kill mine. I don't think it's as hardy as the big boys. Probably it was my PH.
