Bad picture, BUT...

Does this look like a peduncle to you guys? I've never had one before, but think that I have one on this Lacunosa. Thanks!

Sure looks like a happy girl to me!
You come up with more and more plants GH...you are EVERYWHERE I go and I LOVE that about you!
Have you tried the "beer recipe" on your plants yet? I have been using it for about a week 1/2 now and have to say....I'm quite impressed.
Guess what? Diana (the princess) is having a new leaf! You should see me every morning running to the bathroom to check on it...you would die *lol*
How are your Crowns doing?
Lacunosa is one of those hoyas I just can't make happy so Kudos to you my dear friend. I have tried repeatedly with this one and....well.....it's a sad ending every time.

Hi kim! my nails r wet so excuse any poor typing!

Lacunosa has not been easy for me either, it is the 2nd one. killed the 1st. so if this is a peduncle, I will be so happy. She spent the summer outside, so it's done her some good.

cots are doing okay xcept the white one. It rotted 2 days after I got it:( I think it was moist and cool for too long in transit(5 days). the others have defoliated almost completely, but will survive. I'm giving them tlc and expect a full recovery- don't you worry! If nothing else, my own will for them to live will prevail!:)

I have a lot of different plants, so I'm usually hopping around to all the boards. once my orchids start doing something i'll be over there. LOL

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. With all that insulation around them in shipping I thought that they would be fine. But you know what, now that you mention it, the other white ones I have are very limp and not recovering from being uprooted well at all. I have my fingers crossed that they will bounce back as that was one of my Anniversary plants from Dad. I wonder if the white is less resistant somehow?

The ones that lost their leaves will be OK. Some of my COTs just lost all but 1 leaf but I notice they are putting forth new growth now. I think that is a normal "dormant" thing for them to do.

Maybe the "beer fertilizer" will perk them up and I will have more white to share in the spring :) Stranger things have happened *lol*

LOL, Nan, I'm so not good with Hoyas. So little (bad) experience. I don't think I've managed to kill more plants in a single genus than these. Yikes!!! I've got some that are doing okay, you know, but I can't take pride in most of them. LOL

GH...I've been taking most of mine outdoors for past two summers.
I hang them in the branches of our apple trees.

I can't even *begin* to tell you what a difference that has made for them!

If they can't go outdoors, they seem to do best in my east windows....finally had a few blooms on two that have been hanging there for about 3 years (and are not taken outdoors during the summer)...exciting!

Will be waiting for the photo of your upcoming bloom!!

Yeah, I took the Lacunosa and DS-70 outdoors this summer. I think this is why it's forming a spur now. Treat em good and they reward you. I feel so bad for the others that didn't go outside.....LOL

lol...see, you're getting it all figured out.

The ones I have hanging in my east windows do so well there that I *refuse* to take them out...my Lacunosa's one of them.
I do open those windows pretty regularly throughout the summer, so I think that helps with their contentment there.

Gotta get my humidifiers out, though....SOON!! You're way ahead of me on that one!:)
