Whoa! I have never seen or heard of an impatiens like that. Does it bloom similar to a regular garden impatiens? That is pretty!

Snowrose, you can google the plant to see it's white and orange flowers or go to mrimpatiens.com and then go to the photo album.
It's not blooming at the moment but when I does, i'll try and snap a pic.

You'd think that with that velvet dark green and hot pink foliage that it would have a pink flower but its very white with very orange markings! And GREEN bracts which I love!

begoniacrazii, where did you purchase this beauty? It is definitely one I want to try growing!

Oh oh oh....what a beauty!

I didn't purchase it, it's one we grow at the arboretum where I volunteer. We dont have any for sale at the moment, but they are in 'production' and the cuttings are rooted.
It's lovely isn't it!

If the arboretum does mail order, let me know how I can place an order! Thanks for sharing the picture!

Sadly we do not. I've tried several times to see if it would be a viable thing, and considering the plant material we grow and how rare many of the things are that we sell at our regular monthly sales, you would think we would, BUT there are several road blocks to mail order. One big one is the Ag inspection part of it. All plants would have to be inspected, and there were several other things as well. I really did try but it seems that it's not feasible for them at this time.

I'd say watch eBay as some of the folks that come to our monthly sales often sell what they buy on ebay.

I just went to mrimpatiens.com and found the flower in his album. The blossom is exquisite.

mrimpatiens himself is our resident Impatiens guru. He supplies us (by 'us' I am referring to the arboretum) with our stock plants and has an amazing collection at the arboretum.

He certainly does have an amazing collection. I had no idea about all the diversity in impatiens.
