Hey Susan!
I have 'Emerald Gem' and I have to keep the soil evenly moist or else the leaves turn yellow. Now that I have the humidifier going constantly, I don't have to stay on my toes as much. So, yeah, I would certainly place this species in the Diva category. Hmmmm....(This is why I don't fool with Fittonia or Pilea!)

Had to add....I so agree...let them dry out even *once* and they pout terribly and sometimes never do recover. Definitely Diva-esque!!
