Asiatic Lily 'Eros'
Lilium
one of my favourites
Asiatic Lily 'Eros'
Um are you sure this is asiatic lily? Asiatic lilies are not downward facing and have almost straight tepals - not curved backward at all - it can be a hybrid or belong in tiger lily or martagon lily group?
Oh, yes I am sure.
Asiatic hybrid lilies are up-, down- and out-facing (those are the basic categories of description), and they also frequently have recurved petals; these characteristics depend on which Lilium species and cultivars were involved in the hybridization.
The lily in the picture is an asiatic hybrid lily, and is neither Lilium lancifolium (tiger lily, which is a species, not a group) nor any cultivar of Lilium martagon.
okay I understands.
