OOOOO, that is beautiful! Lin! What color are the blooms? The only inside plants I have are calathea, AVs, and I will be bringing in what I call a teddybear Jew soon. it is just beautiful...I have a begonia I am going to try to bring in as well, it has red foilage and a little pink and white flower...just not sure whether it will do well inside....but I don't want to loose it, I just love it. I will post a picture of it, maybe you know what it is.

JanetS: The 'Benigo' has little pink flowers. None of mine are blooming right now, but I'm certain they would be if I'd feed them once in awhile! LOL. I am soooo bad about not fertilizing/feeding my plants! ): Bad plant mommy! I have so many plants, it takes me a couple of hours just to water them with the hose! This Begonia has interesting & pretty leaves, even when it's not flowering!

Here is a picture of mine..I love the foilage! I too am bad about not fertilizng!!!

Kat, I've got one that is looking a little leggy, so I'm planning to cut it back and root cuttings for new plants. Even with the cold weather coming early, you're near enough to me that we should be able to find a few warmer days for shipping if you want to do a swap... or just LMK if you're ever heading up this way, as we are just a couple miles off the highway! (which highway, you ask? LOL, pretty much every one that passes through town, since we're on the south edge of Frederick...)

I don't know the name of this one. It came from Dutch Plant Farm here in town and gets coral-pink flowers on it.

Hey everyone! Sorry here the only pic I have left of it.
I do not know the name, I just recieved a cutting of Benigo, Sophie Cecil, and the Maribel.
But it looks like the Maribel might not make it. I also have a other (Unknown) which is growing fine.

Lin, I think my Bengio is going to make it. (knock on wood). I can send u a cutting of mine if u want. Send me a email with address and I can mail out monday.

Janet - What a really nice Bright Red Begonia that is!!! Wow! I have never seen one that color! Is that a trailing or Shrub like begonia?

Critter- Yes, I would love a piece of your Begonia. I dont have one that blooms Peach. Actually I prefer the Peach , I was going to order one called "Orange Ruba" .Sed me a Email please and I can send u a cutting.

I have one plant that I use for cuttings. I will seperate him and share and Hopefully exchange for other kinds but If not . I would be more than happy to share some with everyone. I have one other one that I keep in my room.
I only need one.

Kat: Are you talking about sending me a cutting of your 'Benigo' or the one in the photo? I have LOTS of the 'Benigo', but would love to have a cutting of that one in your photo.

You should post photo's of your other's too .... 'Sophie', 'Cecil' and 'Maribel'. And, also the one that you don't know the name. That's how I found out the one of mine is 'Benigo', someone here in DG identified it for me! I am sending you D-mail with my address.

Critter: That is a gorgeous cane begonia you have there too! I love the leaves! Would love to have a cutting of that one, in the Spring if you have any available then! I have another Dragonwing or Angelwing that I don't know the name of, I posted a photo somewhere the other day, but will post here again so y'all can see it. I've never taken cuttings from this one, but will give it a haircut tomorrow and see if I can root some. The 'Benigo' one is so easy to root, maybe this one will be too.

Oh, just realized ... I'm on the laptop and don't have my pic's on here .... will have to go into the study to the desktop machine to do it. So .... check back in a few.

Lin, remind me maybe in March, and I'll take some cuttings to root and send to you when the weather warms... :-)

LOL, Kat, I actually prefer the blooms on your pink one! I'm not fond of coral/peach/orange blooms, but this one was left with me when a neighbor & dear friend moved to TX, and she loved it... I do love the foliage, but I just don't care if it blooms or not!

(Zone 1)

Will do Critter! Thanks!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

It is a trailing type...here is another picture that is a little darker, the leaves are green on top and red on bottom with red stems....it is really a pretty little thing when it is in bloom!

It's gorgeous when not in bloom, too! :)

I'm getting better with begonias, but not before learning the hard way: all the bulbs I purchased died. I have a tremendous amount of respect for all of you and your beautiful begonias!

This one roots very easily....if anyone wants some of it I will be happy to share. I will try to remember the name...lol That will be a minor miracle though..maybe I can find it.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gina, I think tuberous begonias are something quite different again...

Janet, that foliage is a wonder!

Here is my Red Unknown. I can cut one nice piece off of it to trade for another. Its growing new shoots underneath, you just can not see it.
