I am planting a few orange hibiscuses in the hopes they will grow together into a long S shaped shrub (does that make sense?) ER is one of them.
Y'all say hello to Erin Rachel
OH how pretty, I think this is one I have coming as a liner, I'm so excited, I can't even remember which ones I bought. LOL

I love this one, Voss. So in your zone you can leave these out all winter? I guess you do not get the rain we get here. I have trouble leaving mine out though there are tons all around my neighorhood planted in the ground. They hate just me I guess.
Raised beds work here Kell. We do not get all the rain you do but my heavy mucky, marshy soil does not drain so it stays pretty cool and damp. The torpicals I have in raised beds do well. alice
Kell, hibiscuses confuse me because as a tropical, my inclination is to water, water, water. But a few losses have taught me being water-skimpy is best. Mine have all survived our mild winters, with 1 exception, Edna Boegert. Thankfully, there are various that look the same, so I have replaced with a stronger, similar looking variety.
I am excited about this hibiscus hedge project. I have Orange Key, a dbl orange, ERachel ( single red/with orange border), a single orangey-red w/yellow center, and I am hunting for an orange w/ a white center, pref. single. If I don't find it, maybe use a double white. My hope is that they all grow together, to give the illusion that one hedge is producing all kinda flowers, with orange being the common thread.

Oh Ardesia, I am so far away from being able to put in raised beds. I am at the squeeze in end phase of my yard.
Oh Voss, I am so jealous. That sounds so great. We will need lots and lots of pictures of that!
