Two-Tailed Tigers

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Just thought I'd show you how my cats are doing. These develop slower than any other kind of cats I've raised. In this pic, you can see a 3rd instar, there it is dark and has the whitish saddle marking. This bunch is a bit smaller than usual, for some reason. They eat Hop Tree leaves and also Black Cherry Tree leaves.

Here's one that's just become a 4th instar, changing color and looking much different. You can still see the saddle, but the cat has changed color, has its eyespots now, a pink head capsule and even some black stripes. And even the amazing little light blue spots are showing in this pic! I think they're so cute during the late instar phases!

Linda - Those cats are just too cool looking! I would love to see some Tiger Swallowtails make their home near my yard. I only see them ocassionally passing through. They are breath-taking to see! Please take a photo when they emerge as butterflies!

Very cool Linda! I have seen both Giant and Black Swallowtails but not these.

oh how cool. In the beginning they look like orange dogs lol but most certainly can see the difference as it matured. Lucky you
