Oh dear..................

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Kell, just give over to the dark side and get yourself a violet already!

Denver, CO

Snowrose, is that an older plant? Cooler nights?
Why so much fantasy? It's the most I've seen on 'Rebel's SK.'

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just may, Lali girl. Snowrose is making me insane with desire.

But I killed 3 not too long ago. So very dead!

Kenton - Fantasy blossoms can be so variable plus I think there may be some differences plant to plant for some odd reason even though it is the same variety. But, like you said, cultural conditions affect them also. I know some show growers that recycle the same plant over rather than getting another one.

Kell - If you ever want to try again just let me know. I will send you one wicked (not wicked as in the dark side) but wicked as in self watering and ready to grow with complete instructions. My method of growing is so easy. Tempted?

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Atta Girl Snow! Spoken like a true addict...er...uh... plant lover I mean!
Please do dmail me your easy growing method. Always looking to see what others do to be successful

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, I am so tempted. All that pink in such a small perfect package. Just ask Lali (begoniacrazii), I am ever so easy! LOL

Hey Lali girl, why don't you ever tempt me with pretty in PINK AV'S??

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Lali - My growing method is a 12 step program lol. I will dmail it to you ....

Kell - I have one waiting in the wings that just might push you over the edge.

Lake Jackson, TX

Snowrose would you please d-mail me your 12 step program I love AF ..but I tend to over water all starts and they ,,DIE I must be doing something wrong, even when I do cut back on the water.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Gingerose, I just called it a 12 step program in reference to begoniacrazii's comment about being an addict LOL! I am a long standing member of AA (african violets anonomous) ;-)

Here's a link to help get you started. It is about rooting episcias but my method is the same as far as wick watering w/constant feed and my growing medium that I just call 'wick mix'. Makes it all so easy because it takes the guess work out of when to water plus you can go away on vacation without worry. The plants respond well to the even constant moisture and food. I hope this helps until I do a better write up just on violets.
