Key Lime Pie

Spring Hill, FL(Zone 9b)

I just wanted to share my first bloom of Key Lime Pie. I was expecting it to be a little more greener in color than it is but real Key Lime Pie is more yellow anyway. So the name is certainly fitting. I still love it!

Ha, I just posted looking for green flowers, yours does look more yellowish, but i'm sure they don't call it key lime pie cause it's yellowish, think later on it will turn more green? Where did you get this one at?

I think I have to have a couple of green flowering hibiscus if I can find them cheap enough LOL

Thanks Eclipse, ardesia & Marie for your nice comments!

Kathy - a friend of mine who lives in California went to an open house at Hidden Valley Hibiscus a few months ago and picked it up for me. Their website is : http://www.hiddenvalleyhibiscus.com/
My friend also said that the seasons play a roll in the colors so maybe in the summer time it will appear more greener? I guess I will have to wait and see. This one is on day 3 and is still open although the color is beginning to fade.

I like the greenish colors myself for some reason. There is one I saw which I think it called swamp thing or pond scum that I would just love to have.

I'd rather have a swamp thing than a pond scum LOL thought that was funny, hopefully they could come up with a better name than pond scum

LOL I know! But it sure does look like that swampy green color so it is fitting LOL

Oh, we need a picture of that one. LOL

Oh gosh, it is prettier than it's name. I guess I was expecting something gross like it's name. Misfire is pretty cool also.

Wow!! there is one called pond scum, WHAT A NAME LOL, I love the flower though, it's pretty neat looking.

Is that link a place to buy hibiscus? cause I didn't see any prices listed anywhere.

HI kathy_ann,
I don't think you can buy from that website. I just found it when I did a search to get a picture of Pond Scum to show ardesia.
