CLOSED: Wanted Episcia 'chocolate soldier'

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Looking for Episcia 'Chocolate soldier', cuttings or plant. If you have one LMK, maybe we can work a trade.

Viv, I've got one... but it's gotten too cold to ship you a cutting. Rob's Violet Barn stopped shipping Episcias at the end of September; apparantly they're even more cold sensitive than african violets. Maybe somebody who lives on the west coast will be able to send one to you! If not, I'd be happy to start a spring trade "wish list" for you on my trade tracker and propagate one for you over the winter... I've got a couple other young Episcias and am also propagating many different AVs... I'm sure I'll have other things available also in spring... I'm always especially happy to trade for hardy perennials since DH says the house is "full."

That sounds great critterologist, I would love to trade in the spring, have lots of hardy perennials to trade. Keep me on the list, thanks.

Excellent!

And if somebody on the west coast has a 'Chocolate Soldier' for you, it would probably ship just fine... but coast to coast I don't think it has a chance. I'm sure even if you find that Episcia before spring, I'll be able to tempt you with other goodies!

I've made a note in my trade tracker... :-)

Hi Viv,
I know you've closed this post but I'm on the west coast and have a few cuttings of the chocolate soldier that have started to root. I had to cut my plant back and now have so many rooted babies I don't know what to do with them. :-)
Let me know if you're still interested in some cuttings.

Thanks,

Joy
