Is this Non-Stop Rose Petticoats? It has big blooms that are almost continuous.

Non-Stop rose petticoats looks a little more ruffled in the plant files...any ideas what it could be? Anyone?

I have no idea - but she's gorgeous :-)

Looks like Double Bouton de Rose Begonia. I have the plant, but mine wasn't nearly as pretty in bloom as yours since it had gotten chilled while in bud before I moved it inside the house. My blooms also had yellow centers on some of the blooms and did not on other blooms on the same plant. I was told by a master gardener that the plant has both male and female flowers and I did notice on the bloom with the yellow center that it gave off a huge puff of pollen when I tried to pinch off the fading bloom. I don't know if what I was told is accurate, but I did note the difference in my plants blooms.

Nana3,
did your blooms start off cream color with edges in apricot, and then darken as the blooms aged until they were all apricot?

Beth,
No, mine were a cream color edged in the apricot with a yellow center. Then, there were a few flowers on that same plant that were just more creamish color and didn't have as prominent of the apricot edging and they did not have the yellow centers like the others did.
My blooms were just not as pretty as yours since I should have brought mine inside earlier than I did. The plant got chilled when the temperatures dipped low. That link I put in my previous post I made has 3 images of my plant with it in stages of bloom. You can see where the cold affected the blooms, especially around the bloom edges. My plant was in bud form when that cold temperature occurred and I didn't get it inside soon enough. It did go on to form more buds and produce prettier blooms, but I didn't get a chance to snap any pictures of them.

Does your plant's leaves have a burgundy coloring on the undersides? Look at my photos and you will seen what I mean.

I have to check the leaves when I get home. I don't think mine ever had the large yellow centers that yours did, but maybe that is a function of temperature?

Beth,
I purchased mine at American Meadows and their description and photo did not depict that yellow center, but some of my blooms certainly had them as you can see in the photo. The listing was for Double Red-White Bi-color Tuberous Begonia
'Begonia tuberhybridia'

I do not know much about Begonias...this is my first year to have them in my gardens. I love them. I think the leaves are just as pretty as the blooms.

Your photo looks just like the picture on the package they came in. I will demail a pic of it to you so you can see.
