Did you have many trick-or-treaters?

2 sets of groups. The first was two about 16 years old. The other group was 3 kiddos and two of them this was their first ever trick or treating. The parents bought a convenient store close by and they are Koreans. The gril that works there told me to day she was going to bring the woman and her kids with her and they would come by my house. Really funny to see the lady out in front of the house taking pictures of the kids getting their treats.

Don't you just love it. It is so sad that our world has gotten to the point that parents are afraid to take their kids out Trick or Treating. I remember when I was a little kid in Oregon. We used to walk for miles with our pillow cases on Halloween night. My mom used to buy brand new garbage cans for Halloween and she would make and fill them up with popcorn balls to give as treats. The neighborhood kids loved coming to our house. Parents now day's can't let their kids have things that are home made. My parents never worried that anything would happen to us.

It is sad. I was telling my daughter tonight that I'd go trick-or-treating by myself in the neighborhood I grew up in, and there were never any parents out, it was just the kids. Tonight was a "slow" night, and one person just dumped her entire bowl into my daughter's bag. It was not even 8:00 at the time. Maybe it was the cold drizzle that fell for part of the time, but quite honestly, since recent times (9/11) things have really slowed down, and it's sad.

It actually picked up here. Last year we didn't have any tricksters at all. It really is a shame the way things are now and the way it used to be.

Gosh , I am having more than I did the first two years we lived here. I picked up some gummy candy eyeballs at Costco to go with the other candy's and those seem to be a real hit tonight.

My husband took the dog out for a walk otherwise, I wouldn't even be on here tonight. I figured it was a good way to work some stair exercise into the evening and see what my Dave's friends were up too.

I know how you feel though. The first year we were here we couldn't have had over six kids and three of my grandchildren that lived in the area had just moved to Oregon. I was heartbroken. Last year I was in Ireland on Halloween, so I wasn't expecting much this year. But so far it has been fun.

You are looking so good there, Jim. LOL

Maybe DW will let you nibble on her neck. You know how us women like to stand by our man and help them out in their times of need.
