Guardian Girl, Your picture no.3 is exactly what I have been looking for, now if any of you know what it's called - please tell me. I think they are just gorgeous. Hope you enjoyed your ride out!

Elephant Ears - should not be hard to get. I think there may be a Alocasia/Colocasia forum.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I believe #3 is a Xanthosoma Sagittifolium . It gets huge.

Seemama, I just traded for one today.
You'll find one, Now you know the name.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Seemama,
I always pull up my extras and either give them away or toss them. I am sure I can find you one or two.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Ohh dont toss them.
I love these. Just send'em this way.
They grow so nicely in my area

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will keep that in mind. Xanthosomas grow very well here. The more rain, the bigger they get. I have some that tower over seven feet. You should see the size of the bulb/tuber/whatever.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I believe it . I saw some bigger that that! As you see in the pic the ones I saw were taller than the house. The leaves were as big as me I'm 5'1.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Mine towers over the six foot privacy fence. They do get big if you give them the right amount of water.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What a great ride you took GuardanGirl. I do that too. I love to look at what others have in their gardens.

Oh Ada your EE is just beautiful. I love it. Is this one of the ones you sent me? I am in love.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Yes, Kell. I sent you one of these.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

They are all doing GREAT!! I am in trouble now. LOL I need to start a garden on my roof.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Buy more land, Kell. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I really need to move, Ada.

I got that wrong! it was Pic No.4 the lovely palm tree that looks like a pineapple at the base! The pictures were so nice I got carried away! Thanks for all those replies, now I have to ask you to start all over again!!!! I don't think I can cope with the Elephants Ears although I am rather partial to Elephants! Now if any one can tell me the name of the palm tree that would be great!.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I dont know the name sorry.
