clay buster plants

Killeen, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi,
I am interested in clay buster plants. Especially the ones that are native to Texas.
Is there anybody that can help me out ? Anybody know what I am talking about?
I googled but found nothing but 2 companies selling seeds with little info.

I'm not sure if this is what you are after because I had go google the term. From I have been able to determine, these plants will grown in heavy clay soil. If you want to actually improve the soil, you would have to amend the soild, using compost, fertilize with compost tea or plant a cover crop and till it under for several years. Don't add sand. Just think about the adobe brick ingredients: clay, sand and organic matter in the form of hay or straw.

This company sells plants. I hope you find what you are looking for.

There is a thread on this forum dealing w/ clay busters- I know I cut and pasted a bunch of my info onto it and many, many others contributed, but the search function is not working now. It would have been this past summer.

I will see if I can find the info another way.
