More Autumn Treasure Blooms

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

She's blooming in spite of the very warm Santa Ana conditions that we have here. (A Santa Ana is warm/hot winds blowing in from the desert) Temps. have been in the 90's. These conditions are making it difficult for fire fighters to fight the fires that are blazing a couple hours north of here.

Mary, she is a beauty!
I remember lusting after that one before...and your picture reminds me why. :)

I hope that the fires settle down soon. I get so worried when I see the images on the news.

Beautiful Color Mary!! Your photo brightened my evening!!
I just brought the last of the brugs in. It was depressing chopping off the buds. I'll get over it.....LOL

I like this one. Such an appropriate name.

Mary, hopefully the danger of fire will soon or has passed by now.

And thank you for posting pictures of Autumn Treasure. I hope you are really enjoying it. If you do get a cool down in the weather you should (got my fingers crossed here) get to see the deep orange color it can produce.

Also, thank all of the rest of you for your kind comments about Autumn Treasure. I was going to register this brug with a different name, but the brug did not live up to that name, so me and my DW came up with this one. We think that it fits it perfectly too, since that it is the cool temperatures of autumn that brings out the orange color.

Mary, I am not trying to hijack your thread, but I would like to post a comparision picture for those who may have missed the first one. Please continue to post new pictures of it, especially if your weather cools off and it gets that deep orange color.

My first blooms are opening, too. The first one actually opened Friday morning, but I was out of town over the weekend. David, it's an impressive brug. The flower is formidable - good substance for holding up, which is important in a large flower like it is. I also like the color. I'm not getting as deep an orange as others, but then, none of the "oranges" are never that bright of an orange for me, so I expected that. The fact that it's even a lighter orange makes me happy!

I'll try to get a pic here in the next day or so...

Beautiful color, David. Like Carter, I love orange. LOL

This is probably the last one for awhile. The cooler nights have made it a little darker, which is nice.

Oh yes, much darker. I love the orange too. Great name. This summer my colors were bright orange, lime green with hot pink to liven it all up.

Mary, I'm glad the weather has changed now and you are having some blooms that aren't melting in the heat.
