Any extra prunings?

One of our favorite forum members, Dianne Landry, is part of a large project to raise money to build a shelter for the handicapped in case there is another nasty storm like Katrina. The closest one to her town is 100 miles away. Dianne is growing out plants sell to raise money for this wonderful cause...and I am shipping off a 'mess of cuttings' next week. It dawned on me that we all have plants we trim back...even the common ones...and I think it would be awesome if we could all help her by sending whatever we can. This is not a call for sacrificing ... just a heads up.

Dianne, this world is truly blessed to have such a kind, loving, and compassionate person as yourself. I just admire you so much. I will have some cuttings this spring and would be more than happy to send them to you. And I would be very interested in purchasing some more from you too ;)

Hey, Dianne is one special lady! She has more strenth and faith in her little finger than most people have in their entire body! Count me in to help with this project any way possible. Since our government does less and less for disabled individuals, it warms my heart to know lovely ladies such as Dianne step up to make a difference.

Dianne, is there a place where people can send donations? This project is going to take a village. I can't think of a better project to donate some Holiday money!

Carol,Thank you for posting,I had been talking to Mel about it and I am trying to get more information about it..As far as donations I will let you know.
My son is 23 and he no longer goes to school and we are waiting on a release form from the state so he can get a part time job a couple hours a day..Well he has started watering and spraying the hoya's and we have started this labor of love,it keeps him happy I know if my son was in a home and I wasn't around I would hope and pray he would be taken out of harms way.So they are raising money for this home for all of acadiana's handicap people..
When Carol asked me if I wanted cuttings I said oh yes,I let her know about my project..This will be plants that Chris has and will start so in turn any money collected will be donated in his name..Which makes me feel good..All of you are just wonderful,I have said so many times in time of need you guys shinned...All I ask is watch out for Chris's hoya's there might be something you will want!

Thank you,
Dianne
