Mailing Colocasia

I'd like to see a discussion on the ways all of you mail colocasias. What works for you, and what doesn't? Do you mail them and keep them from wilting? If so, what's your method?

I have shipping out thousands of plants. Colocasias are not extremely easy. The best way to get nice plants would be to grow them up well in small pots to around 2 feet tall. This way when shipping the root system is not damaged and you can usually keep most the leaves from being torn apart by wrapping them as well as the soil with newspaper. Another way is to ship them bare rooted I usually use aluminum foil and longfiber spaghnum moss and take large tubers are wrap them up to be shipped out. Usually with this the leaves are removed. The good thing about Colocasias is in 3 weeks you have many new leaves if it is in a idea situation. They like many tropicals are extremely fast growers.

I've been growing pups in 3 inch pots. When they're old enough, I'm going to mail the pot, soil and all. It's a little more expensive, but the plant should stay healthy, and keep from wilting.

Having received Colocasia, Alocasia and Xanths from Brian I can attest to his expertise.
Fron 3" pots to 2' plants his methods work well.
I think maybe I've gotten a damage leaf at the worst case.
As he said they set back a little then start cranking out leaves.
