Thanks Susan - it was hard to capture the image truly as dark as it was. Unfortunately it was a poor tuber maker and I might need to buy it again to have it.

Al, I spent quite a while searching Dahlias last night as I wrote all kinds of varieties down before buying them at Wal-mart. I saw your pictures quite often. Have you ever purchased your tubers there and have they been okay for you?

Thanks for the condolances, but it still hurts.LOL Such a poor tuber maker. The 'new' Night Queen is fine as a cutter, but nowhere near the garden dahlia of the old. I will try a few new BB FD DR to try and find a replacement.
