i have been looking at morning glory seeds this morning and i think i have hederifolia instead of coccinea. i don't know flower parts but the anthers or the stamens are yellow but not the cup part of the flower.

mamajack what color are the cups?

the cups are red but they have yellow anthers or stamens. the cup is solid red to me......not orange and no yellow in the bottom of the cup.

carol, that is what it looks like to me. i thought it was coccinea at first but i saw a picture of it somewhere besides the plant files and it said coccinea had a yellow throat. this one does not have that. only little yellow anthers/stamens, whichever they are. i have both of those seeds but if you will send sasbe with note saying what you want i will mail you some. thanks. barb

SASE = self addressed stamped envelope
What is a sasbe?

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

cag,
It's a bubble envelope :o)

Joshua, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh. What size bubble envelope? So I guess you have to send it inside a 10x13 envelope?

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Cag,
They come in different sizes, Walmarts has them (also Staples/Office Max, etc) and just a small one will do, really depends on how many seed pks your getting.

For the Morning Glories mamajack is offering, I would send like a 5"x7" bubble envelope. I haven't come across any smaller than the 5"x7"

caganimalover..............this is how i do it. i get one 5 x 7 bubble envelope. i fill out 2 address labels. one with my address and your return address. the other has your address with my return address. inside i put the extra label and 63 cents postage. it costs 52 cents or 51 cents to send the bubble envelope and i usually add the next ounce in postage to cover it in case the seeds make the package weigh more. but if you will send a 52 cent stamp and an additional 11 cents i will return the 11 cents postage if it doesn't go over. and lastly just write on a piece of paper ............red m.g...........and then i will know what to do.

So you reuse the same bubble envelope and just put the other labels over the top of the addresses from when it came to you? I think I get it now. Sometimes I have to be spelled to, really slow. I'm a visual person. I have the captions on the TV all the time. Without being able to read, listen, AND view, I can't keep track of a tv show. Thank you. ~~~ Carol

yes that is what i do. this is just the way i figured out how to do it. i also wrap the whole bubble mailer with clear tape so that stamps and old address labels can be removed without tearing the bubble mailers because i use them over and over when i can. but you don't do that. i am a little anal. lol. and i just started on daves a few months ago and i had to ask too what a sasbe was. but we learn quick.
