I am realizing that an orange cross vine and an orange trumpet vine are two different plants. I have trumpet vine with serrated leaves everwhere. Is the crossvine as invasive. Which is the prettier plant. I have so many hummers we can't count. They were going through10 quart feeders every other day. I love to see them come but when summer is over I'm usually ready to see them move on. Kinda like seeing your grandkids go home after a long weekend. I have many plants for them to feed on but always like to plant more. The point to this rambling on is the cross vine and how it differs from trumpet creeper. Is there a yellow version of cross or trumpet creeper?

The Cross Vine looks like this:

And there is also a vine called Coral Honeysuckle:

These are all vines that the Hummers like. Trumpet Creeper is by far the most invasive plant. Best to keep it far away from your home and other gardens and your neighbors yards. The others are more manageable and much easier to prune. Some people have a skin reaction to the Trumpet Creeper. (Though it is supposedly listed as the #1 favorite flower of the Hummers!)
thanks for clearing this for me. I did not plant any of the trumpet creeper I have. I live in a rural area and was already blessed with large vines. I planted the coral honeysuckle this year but not in time to see blooms. I am looking forward to next year.
