disease on compacta

Abbotsford, BC(Zone 8a)

Maybe someone has come across this problem before...i have green compacta with some of the leaves on it getting these black spots sporadically on a couple of the ropes....nothing near the base nor near the ends, basically these spots appear in the middle of the ropes, then finally turning yellow and falling off.. here are 2 pics (front and back) showing a leaf that has already started to turn yellow and has fallen off.....any ideas what the cause is and what i can do to stop it from happening?...i have had this happen on a Krimson princess vine also....

definitely hoya cooties

I've had that happen to my compacta too, but since none of the other leaves were affected, I just nipped it off and tossed it. I like the "cooties" theory...lol...

It looks like it could be a fungus and getting rid of the leaves is important because it will spread from leaves laying around....

I would give it a good hit of fungicide....like Daconil (comes in a bottle from box stores) or another broad spectrum fungicide....

sure looks "cootyish" to me too!...I will look for some fungicide here....hopefully they have something....i guess i pick the other leaves off, they will turn yellow anyway....thanks guys!
