My "overwintering" a/k/a new plant room

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Ok, I finally got industrious after a 3 week hiatus. Anyway, I did everything by myself -- put together the shelving and the lighting. I've got a reflective grow light on EDW (left corner) and need to move the grow light in for Whiskers (right hand side). Hopefully, this will keep all my cuttings, seeds and plants happy during the winter!!
As you can see, EDW and Whiskers are both begging not to be cut because they are blooming. LOL!! Whiskers is going to be cut tonight, though.

Nice set up, Felicia. Having a window, plus the grow lights, will make for happy plants.

Very nice. What a great project! Between both light sources, the plants will be very happy.

Looks like you are all set for the winter Felecia. Looks great !!

Thanks!! :)
I have a humidifier to put in there to keep it moist so that the mites will stay away. I also have a bubbler system, but I've not set it up since I don't have any cuttings in water. :( Oh well, it'll keep. Now, all they need is some music piped into the room. LOL!!

I am so jealous. You have a great set up. Mine are all over the house. What a mess.

You're gonna love it. I have 2 of those shelves and I wrapped a clear shower curtain liner around the back and sides so that when I let go with the spray (water or insects) it doesn't mess up the walls/windows. I also put a piece of plastic under mine to protect the floor.

Wonderful set up Felicia!! So bright and cheery!! Unlike my dungeon where I keep mine! LOL
Hope they all thrive through the winter for you.

Thanks again!

Kin, if I had a dungeon to put these plants in, that's where they'd be. And it is certainly bright in there!! As it stands, I just can't have any guests until spring because that was the guest room. LOL

I'm thinking about doubling up on the shelf grow lights, that way, I can put more cuttings on the shelves if something comes across that I really need. :)

LOL
I think you are gonna have guests ALL winter long!!
Don't get to carried away now. Some of your friends might get worried about you.
Of course none of us here will.........
:)

Kin,
My friends are already worried about me. LOL!!
I really don't have "that many" cuttings.... a few have not made it, so that trims the number down even further. And, I have given a few to friends so that next year they won't be worried about me -- they'll be worse than me!!

Lily, I use 4 ft shop lights on mine, this photo was taken a few years ago.

Linda,
That looks really good. That's probably what I should have started with to begin with. Maybe next year I'll upgrade. This is my first year ever overwintering anything besides hibiscus and ficus, so I'm sure I'll be learning a lot this winter!
