Small greenhouse vs. Cold frames ???

We have been considering building a small greenhouse but are wondering if we could just as well use a couple of cold frames. Let me hear your opinions !!!

Ken, what are you growing?

We plan to use it for starting seedlings for our own gardens (veggies and ornamental flowers) as well as to eventually start cuttings and seedlings to be sold -- we currently start them all over the house in pots, flats, whatever is available and would like to get them out of the house somewhat and into their own place. Just wondering if we really need to go with the whole greenhouse or could we just as well use cold frames.

Before I bought my greenhouse, I would start seeds inside then move them to a cold frame when they got their first sets of leaves. The best part of the greenhouse is getting it all out of the house and in one location! LOL I do know other growers that still start seeds in their basement or home and move them to greenhouses when they need to.
