This is an outside view of my Wall-O-Brugs and it is my favorite place in the whole world. I know it's just green from this view, but it's much prettier on the other side! I want to thank every one here for helping me to find my true love. When I sit out there now and smell the awesome fragrance, it takes the whole world away. I want everyone here to know how much I appreciate all the help I've gotten. From the newbies who came forward and asked questions.. To all the seasoned brug addicts for answering all the questions and giving so much valuable information. And to Dave's Garden for making this awesome place. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!
Thank You ALL DG Brugmaniacs!
Just beautiful!! I know that alot of hard work went with it!!
Well shoot Lady, what are those big PINK flower pompoms?? Nosy people just have to know!!
I love Dave's too, we are all so hot! LOL
What are the huge flowers on the fense??
Are they in pots? Some kind of "annual"?
Sorry ZZ, you are showing us your beautiful brugs and I'm ooohing over your Allysum, nice contrast! How perfect your brugmansia look, all growing so proudly, I love the underplanting also, it's just gorgeous! I was hoping you show us both sides! Nice!
What a perfect view! You've done a great job.
Your pics are beautiful. I love your whole bed front and back. I love Alyssum as well. It doesn't do much at all here in the summer because of the heat, but in the fall and spring it is beautiful. All my brugs are planted at the back and side of my backyard, so I never spell the fragrance that everyone always talks about. I need to find out the most fragrant ones and put a couple on my covered patio.

The Alyssum I found in plant files is all under 6inches. Except one and it isn't nearly as pretty as yours:

All my brugs (except babies and cuttings) are in the basement... :( sniff sniff)
Beautiful ZZ! I bet the smell is out of this world! I use the white allysum a lot but I have never tried the purple..it looks great with you plants! I will have to get some of that one and give it a try next year...I love the way it smells too! Your brugs are to die for! I am sure your neighbors just stare in AWE!

I think they are beautiful, and it's so good to have some of you still getting blooms while ours are starting their sleep for the winter, and I am sure, like me, a lot of you already miss them and look forward to spring.
Thank you everyone. Thank you so much..I dreamed all summer of sitting here enjoying the view and fragrance.. I love it so much. My show is JUST starting.. I've been drooling over all ya'all's pictures this fall.. dying over the fact that I only had micro buds that were falling off, spider mites, thripes, catepillars, and green green green with nothing happening..
Sherry.. Here is a link to the one I have http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/70581/index.html It will hang down up to a couple of feet.. but in the ground it won't get very tall.. I like it up there on the fence.. and I'm trying to influence my brugs to turn purple... LOL LOL
They are pretty, but they are a pain cause they need to be watered every single day.. How could I complain.. I got all the matching pots out of the dumpster and I already had plenty of seed.. so I threw it together and it really turned out to be pretty! LOL
Go figure.. the stuff you fuss over almost always blocks your view to what is really thriving somewhere hidden in the shadows that you forgot all about huh?? Isn't that how it happens? You make a plant your favorite and it will drop all the buds or shrivel up and croak.. then you realize you had one tucked in the back and it is twice as nice as your favorite!!
Be careful for what you wish for... the branches can't hold that much weight!!
ZZ, you said 'I like it up there on the fense' - how did it get up there, is it a vine, or is it in pots?? I looked it up in plant files and it says 'height 6 inches'. Yours is very pretty, whatever you do to it, keep it up, I LOVE purple!!! Your brugs are pretty too....
Yeah.. In that picture, it's an optical illusion... they are just in pots on top of the fence posts.. that is how they get so big.. they are hanging. I fertilize them a lot since they take so much water..
To grow them, I melted some holes in a ziplock container for drainage and put it inside another one the same size to hold some water.. filled it with potting soil.. held it under a purple & white Alyssum I have in the ground, shook the plant to get seeds.... watered every day.. then when the babiez were big enough I put them in their own pots! I love it when it's simple, free seeds, free pots and 2 ziplock food containers for under $3.00!
Clever, ZZ!!!
ZZ, I have been thinking about your wall of brugs and wondering how they turned out! Thank you for posting pics! Are cars beginning to stop yet? I am sure once all those buds start opening they will!!
Well.. I have to tell ya... I get a lot of stares.. BUT most of the blooms are on MY side of the fence! LOL The best part is the fragrance... You can smell it from the house next door.... walk up on my porch and your 1/2 drunk with the entoxicating scent... (Okay.. so that's what I use for an excuse anyway.. LOL)
Kin, funny you would say that... The old timer down the street calls me JungleJane... isn't that great!
