Jamies Monkey Business

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Brenda Delph has grown out a real beauty. This is Jamies Monkey Business in her first mini flush of 6 flowers. The flowers have matured to a deep orange. They stay open all day long and have a wonderful fragrance that can be enjoyed even at a distance. In fact the scent lasts much longer into the early morning than most of my brugs. The flowers are not large but they are shapely and hold themselves regally on each stem. I'm hoping that she will take some Masquerade pollen. At least that's what I am going to try on her.

She is so cute. And so dark!! I love the lower calyx too. Do you know who the parents are Gary?

This is a Ludgers cross with seed out of germany. The pollen donor is unknown and the pod parent is listed as Kleine Aap. The seed parent is Brenda Delph over at seedsprout. I trialed it and she has now released it. This brug is almost bug free for me here in the south. Obviously you can see she withstands the heat very well
(our temps are still in th 90's). She's a rapid and vigorous grower. This is the first flush. I can't wait to see what she has in store for me when she matures. Brenda says she is not shy and has really heavy flushes. The flowers are about 11 inches long.

WOW!

Ludger really has had a lot of winners. I have one of his in my yard flowering right now and it is incredible.

This one doesn't look like it has any suav in it to me which is such a huge plus.

And 11 inches is not petite. LOL Great addition to brugs for sure!

Very nice. Yeah that Ludger has brugs all over the world. I have one that I got from Delisa at the swap a couple of weeks ago. Adeline. I have three buds on her and have her in a bubbler and hope I can see the three buds turn in to blooms. Boy you Floridians really know how to make the rest off us want to move to FL. Well any way us Georgians.Great job Gary as usual.

Gary the first photo looks like a great calander photo! When mine bloomed this summer it was just so hot and the sun really washed out the color so I am looking forward to cooler weather and deeper orange. I really love the Monkey crosses that Brenda grew out.

Premont, TX(Zone 9b)

Mine is too young/small to bloom, but I'm looking forward to it. Till then I'm enjoying your pictures a lot!

Unfortunately she didn't take the masquerade pollen. I think it's still too hot here. I need to wait till late Nov to start pollinating my blooms.
