bulb question

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

On my trip out west in August, I collected a few bulbs, I have no clue what they are...
I was just going thru all my trip seeds, and the bulbs are growing roots, HELP
What do I ned to do? Do I plant them out now and hope that the winter don't kill them?

Got pictures?

No, I got these from Oak Harbor at the navy base store, right out of the pot in front lol they were just laying there saying take me take me, so I did, rofl... Now they got roots and one as a little bit of a sprout... One bulb is the size of a 50 cent piece is round, the others about the size of a dime...

Well, whatever they are, thet belong in soil sometime or other...or at least try forcing them. Maybe you should refrigerate them. Somebody will come along with an idea, I'm sure

Plant them about 3 times their diameter deep, root side down (or if you can't tell, plant side ways), water well and see what happens :-) Maybe keep them near the house in a micro climate that won't freeze a solid as some of the other places... or maybe not. Bulbs are usually pretty hardy.

By the way, that size could be spring bulbs - crocus, dutch iris, grape hiacynth, iris reticulata or such.

Have fun!

I say plant them and get surprised in the spring and take pictures and post them! Plant them about 2-3 times as deep as their diameter, water well once and forget them until your spring surprise comes!
