If your dog pulls when on the leash...

Dolores, CO(Zone 5b)

I HAVE to share this. Last weekend we were at one of S.O.'s motorcycle competitions, and I was "walking" the dogs around the camping area. As some of you know, from the beginning of the "best buddies pictures" thread, I have a Chocolate Lab and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Big Dog, and Little Dog. They both pull the livin' crap out of me on a leash, I've apparently not done a good job leash training. Anywhooooo... this girl starts talking to me and says (while Big Dog is trying to drag me away or jump on her or both, and Little Dog is just pulling her little heart out to get to a passing leaf)... "you need a 'Gentle Lead'". So I say "What's a Gentle Lead" and she says... ready... "you put it on your dog and it doesn't pull anymore". By the way, she went on to say that she also has a Lab, and she put it on it, and it doesn't pull anymore. Yeah, right.

So, being a skeptic, I went and bought one for Big Dog and Little Dog ($30.00 each at Petco)... but made sure I could return it if it didn't work. So here's what happened. I brought them home, put them on the dogs, took them out, and they don't pull anymore. Not at all... not a bit. It's like having two different dogs! And, the harnesses aren't harsh (Big Dog has gotten to lose Choke collar, now that is harsh)... Dogs are happy, Mama is happy, and everyone knows that if Mama is happy... everybody is happy.

Seriously... a big fat gorgeous gentle miracle of a harness! Perhaps the best money I've ever spent!

There are two varieties: one goes over the nose, the other does not. I got the one that does not go over the nose. Product name "Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness". It's life changing!
