I must be nuts to try and wash each and every leaf on the hoya I had to bring in. It have way too many leaves and it was making me tired.
Off of my rocker
Makshi, only one thing that will cure you: Go online, order another hoya or 3 then take a nap and dream about the new leaves you will need to wash :~)
God bless, -joanne
You sound like me Makshi! I get on my little step stool and start washing leaves on my HUGE pubicalyx. I'll do it over 3 or 4 days because it's such a huge chore. But it always looks great when I'm done, and it certainly has to help not having all that dust on the leaves. It also gives me the chance to inspect for bugs.

Why not just get a hose and spray wash it off. That is what I do.
I don't have any of my hoyas outside... but I just put them in our bathtub and give them a nice not too cold shower. I try to do this once a month, but it's a lot of work with 180 of them and our bathroom is upstairs...!!!

I just saw where you put your hoyas Christina. It was just lovely. My husband would kill me.

Wash them off? Oh dear...am I doing something wrong?
Had to laugh when I read this thread....we are doing some major remodeling. Everytime I think we're done with drywalling, (have you ever seen what drywall dust does - gets in EVERYTHING!!) I give my hoyas a bath. Sure enough, DH finds "one more spot" that needs to be sanded....my poor hoyas have had three baths in as many weeks (read poor me, not poor hoyas!). We're painting today...so I guess the drywalling is really done - so one more bath is in their future!
Kabob,
That gives me a headache. How many do you have?
Christina if I had that many I would go bunkers trying to keep them pretty.
I did spray it in the shower but it didn't look the way I wanted. Guess it is going to have to do.
