Brugmansia seeds, what they look like

Toledo, OH(Zone 5b)

Someone asked what they looked like, so I went looking through my stash. These are a cross and were given to me in 2005. Today I named one of the seeds that I grew "Pink Mist" cause Kell said I could. I have been calling them Adora, which is wrong because it is a cross.

I did say it for this is the United States of America. LOL. But usually just your 1 brug should have that name, all the other seeds should have their own name to avoid confusion if you decide to grow and then name them too. I bet I misread your intent.

You might want to check and make sure no one else has used that name first. It is a great name.

I checked our forum listings first, where else should I look Kell to see if it is taken? I did edit the above statement to correct it.
Thanks

Dan, how hard is it to propagate by seed? Do you know of anyone who is willing to trade seed for other specie seeds. I have lots of vegie and flower seed, but no brugs.
thanks,

Dan and Kell,
I'm sure this question has been answered many times over, but I don't remember seeing it (old brain, ya' know).

I have pods developing on several of my brugs. I assume I need to let these dry out on the mom before I take them to open for the seeds. Will the seeds be viable?

I think I remember Kell one time telling us to not to pick off dead flowers if we want pods and that they won't develop pods unless they've been pollinated by a bee or something. I'm sure I only have a piece of this info right so maybe Kell will jump in and help with advice too.

Tips and comments are appreciated.

Will someone post a picture of what peeled seeds should look like?

I peeled some, but they looked so . . . naked. I don't know if I damaged them.

LOL they would look naked if you took off their clothes.
They look the same but without the harder shell, I never peal mine.

Hi Strever, I don't think you can say that on this forum, please refer to the sticky on the begining of brug forum
