Hello from Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7b)

Hi. This site is great! I'm somewhat new to gardening so I'm finding these forums extremely useful. My main interest is in southwest native plants. Looking forward to learning more and meeting new people with similar interests. Any New Mexicans out there?

Regards,
Andrew

Welcome adp_abq, I'm not from New Mexico, but we're happy to have you here at DG.There's so much fun here learning in and out of the garden. Great folks here and conversations as well!

Hello Andrew,
Just found your post on the cactus forum. Here's a howdy from southern New Mexico! We have lived here a bit less than a year and I'm a big fan of native desert plants. You have to love their tenacity and ingenious adaptations for survival. We have a yard full of creosote, prickly pear, yucca, cholla, and more, so I have a good learning laboratory right at home.

Welcome to Dave's Garden, I'm sure you will love it here.

Hi Sheri:

I love las cruces (I'm an aggie alum, so of course). Thanks for the welcome. I share your opinion on native plants. In fact I'm going to put in some creosote bush in my yard in the spring. If I had more room I'd put more of what you mentioned. Going to receive some candelilla in the mail from another GW member from glendale,az. What a great bunch of people here! If anyone needs something from here in abq let me know!
