Hi fancyvan
I was in Calgary a couple weeks ago and was so surprised at how much was still in bloom. Your flowers are lovely.

Beautiful Carol! I love all of the pretty pinks in your garden.

Bea we have had a nice long 'slow' fall with no really low freezing temps and not much rain so lots of things still blooming.
I love all the gold/rust colors of fall. We may not have any trees that turn red ike 'down east' but we still have lots of color!

Your garden pics look much like my own, except we only have a few leaves on the ground yet. My hosta turned yellow over the weekend...quite dramatic change! We still haven't had a frost yet and we too have been unseasonally dry (we are usually into monsoon fall rains by now!). Still some wonderful display of annuals in and around St. John's.

Fall to winter overnight. Has the snow stayed?

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

edible cranberries???

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

No not edible cranberries! I wish!

Still snow around, snowed a bit more overnight and I understand the streets were slippery this morning (thank goodness I dont have to drive then) but probably most of it will disappear in a few days when it warms up a bit.

I went through your plesant city 10 days ago and found you kind of cool and ran into snow just below Calgary. We have had quite a bit down here in SW Canada. Great Falls is where I am now had over 5 " on the ground all day yesterday. Hey who won the game against the oilers? Steve.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Snows all gone in the city.

Hey you went thru Calgary and didnt stop to say hello? Whats with that?

No idea about the oilers - dont follow sports.

Carol I was enroute to Great falls to go to work. I had no time after I got off the N Sask after a week of paddling. Jagonjune took good care of me. I had to be at work the next day so couldn't stop but plan on coming up in the early summer. I'll let you know ahead. Steve.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

Enjoyed your pics Elaine and Carol.....well, except for the snow part!

Elaine, how do you get a photo from a telescope? Very cool.

Beautiful pictures Elaine. Seeing your pics of the moon through a telescope reminded me that I want to get the telescope/camera attachment for my DH for his birthday next month. I better get hopping on that. Thanks!

Sandy.........My neighbours were given this scope for last Xmas. So they stand out at the end of our driveways, placing the digital camera down into the viewing part and snap...............this particular evening the moon was huge.........when I was out shopping earlier on, on the way home it seemed as though I was following it or vice versa...Elaine
